Someone who worked closely with me for a number of years, once tried to explain my customer first philosophy which I believe to be the foundation of my personal success. She referred to it as "why do, when you can overdo for your clients?" I think it sums up my belief perfectly. If you spend every day trying to blow your customers mind by significantly exceeding their expectations, they will want to do business with you and I believe that in my soul.
I'm a disruptive, passionate, energetic, global leader of EMC's XtremIO specialist sales team. XtremIO, EMC's purpose built All Flash Array, is the fastest growing Data Center product in history and we have taken the market by storm. In our first 400 days, from our GA data of November 19, 2013 through the end of 2014, customers have purchased over $600M worth of XtremIO which is an average of $1.5 Million dollars per day.
You don't have that type of success unless you have a truly amazing product. When it comes to All Flash Arrays, the analyst community is now beginning to agree with EMC's position that Architecture Matters. Our tightly coupled Scale Out Architecture is a unique differentiator and offers our clients the opportunity to truly achieve an Electronic Data Center and to eliminate spinning mechanical media for transactional workloads altogether. Customers agree, as they have been voting with their wallets as IDC and others already recognize XtremIO as the runaway market leader for All Flash Arrays.
David Floyer of Wkibon wrote a great article on the subject of flash adoption in the Storage Industry, highlighting XtremIO as a Gen 4 architecture and a market leader:
