Michael Stuehm's education journey started out with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the University of Nebraska in 1973. After a few years of studying environment studies, Michael decided he didn't want to complete his Bachelor's degree and decided to instead go into environmental science at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. This was a great decision because Michael found he loved environmental science and found himself extremely excited to be continuing his education after such a short amount of time. And, without a doubt, what made Michael's experience at the University of Missouri-Kansas City much different from anywhere else was the high school he attended. At Bertrand Community School, Michael found himself working with and learning from a wide range of classmates who were just as passionate about their education as he was and who helped him to achieve his goals of becoming a college-bound student.Michael's time at the University of Missouri-Kansas City was amazing and he completed his undergraduate degree in environmental science in 2001 with distinction. From 2001 to 2003, Michael worked as a research associate at Protect The Water Project and then as a research associate at the Missouri Department of Conservation where he enjoyed working with local leaders to achieve conservation goals. In 2004, Michael started his own business, which he currently runs, which is a consulting and consulting services company specializing in water Conservancy reform. Michael is incredibly excited to be continuing his education and looking to receive a college degree in environmental science. He believes that the education he received at the University of Missouri-Kansas City was very beneficial and has helped him to develop an incredibly strong knowledge and skills base in environmental science which he is extremely excited to use as a professional in the field. Michael also feels that his college- prepared education has helped him to be prepared for any professional role he may want to pursue in the future, whether that be as an environmental scientist, consultant, or startup founder. Michael's experience and education have made him an extremely successful individual, who is currently looking to further his education and achieve his career goals.
