Chief Operating Officer @ Leaf & Love is the only zero-sugar, organic kids beverage company. It has significant retail distribution and is regularly ranked #1 in sales on Amazon. I developed retail strategy, operations, product roadmap, pricing, branding, broker network, co-packing strategy, and more. From February 2015 to September 2015 (8 months) San Francisco Bay AreaExecutive Vice President, Global Business Operations @ Asset International is a private equity backed rollup in financial services software, database, and research, where we bought 7 companies, integrated them, and sold the consolidated business.
As head of Global Business Operations, I led the research, data, product, sales and client service teams in Europe and Asia, launching three new database products around the world that grew non-US data revenue over 20%. I also integrated non-US acquisitions. From 2013 to 2014 (1 year) General Manager @ I led the acquisition and turnaround of a distressed Boston-based research business, growing revenue over 30% in 11 months, restoring product lines to profitability, and then successfully integrating the business into the parent company. From 2012 to 2013 (1 year) Senior Vice President, Operations @ As SVP of Operations I drove organic growth in our data and research business, as well as diligenced and integrated acquisitions.
I ran world-wide subscription renewal sales and customer service teams, delivering a 97% renewal rate, built and managed the database sales team increasing sales 40%, led the software / database product roadmap driving significant growth through new product launches, transitioned offshore operations in-house saving significant cost, and built 7 offices in 3 countries. In addition I led operational diligence and integration of acquisitions in the US, Canada, and Asia, representing a 50% increase in our data and research revenue. From 2009 to 2012 (3 years) Chief Financial Officer and VP Corporate Development @ Strategic Insight is the market leader in data and research to the mutual fund industry.
As CFO I established strong financial reporting and controls, presented to 25+ private equity and public company buyers, and successfully led the sale of the business to Austin Ventures. Strategic Insight became the foundation for the rollup of data businesses under Asset International, led by a world-class CEO in business information and media. From 2007 to 2009 (2 years) Co-Founder, Board Member @ I co-founded a health website that has helped millions of people share and learn about health solutions that integrate western and non-western modalities to fight disease. I am particularly proud to have helped many of them fight melanoma, an area of special interest to me. From 2007 to 2008 (1 year) CEO, Founder, Board Member @ I started a company that institutionalized a traditionally “mom and pop” business, bringing professional-level car washing and detailing to corporate campuses as a benefit for employees.
I grew Siteler to 150+ premier customers (Google, Yahoo, eBay, IBM, Cisco, Intel, Microsoft, etc.), delivered customer satisfaction scores of 90%+ during my tenure, and raised 3 rounds of funding from 30+ investors. The company recently celebrated its 10th year of business. From June 2004 to 2007 (3 years) Product and Business Development @ I managed a variety of software and hardware on Treo smartphones and Visor PDAs, leading teams of engineers to ship 6 products, including the award-winning Blazer internet browser.
I was also in business development, signing 15 key alliances that resulted in hardware development and new distribution channels.
I presented at trade shows, lectured at Berkeley and the IEEE, and represented the company on national TV. From January 2001 to January 2004 (3 years 1 month) FMP; Chief Financial Officer @ I completed GE’s financial management program, where I received “Exceeds Expectations” on every performance review and four Management Awards.
I was CFO for GE's locomotive manufacturing joint-venture in Indonesia, where I managed the finance and accounting team and helped the company grow from $6M to $25M in one year.
