💼 Past Experience

Experience As A Software Engineer At GoogleI started my engineering career at Google in May of 2013. My work focused on application security, specifically at the Information Security Engineering team. I had the responsibility of conducting audits and design reviews on a wide range of products at Google, and of developing secure frameworks and testing procedures. Additionally, I was part of a team that was responsible for vulnerability assessment, network analysis, applicationauditing, and operating system security. My work at CiscoSystems was focused on vulnerability assessment, network analysis, application audit, operating system security, and research into best practices for secure development. My experience with Siemens Enterprise Communications is limited to 4 months working on a project to migrate hardware regression tests to a new and improved testing environment. I also helped develop an automated program that uses PHP and shell scripting to make graphing of system performance characteristics easier. My second project at Siemens Network Convergence was working on writing a software architecture for the next-generation electrical grid. My project involved writing a simulation framework in C++ and significant coding to support a large amount of software engineering methodologies and thus help produce high-quality products. My final project memory was working on a project to support the architecture and firmware for the VAST smartgrid testbed. I was responsible for programming the firmware, and working with an FPGA target to conduct simulation on.

Michael Jezierny's educational background and work readiness consists of three main streams of education: electrical engineering, computer science, and renewable energy.In electrical engineering, Michael Jezierny received his M.S. from Georgia Tech in 2010. Upon graduation, Jezierny was able to complete a research paper on renewable energy and earn his B.S.E.E. from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006.In computer science, Michael Jezierny received his B.S.E.E. from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006. Upon graduation, Jezierny was able to complete a dissertation on renewable energy and earn his M.S. in 2010 from Georgia Tech.Throughout his education, Michael Jezierny has worked as an undergraduate and graduate student at various universities. Michael Jezierny currently works at the School of Renewable Energy Science at Georgia Tech as a research associate.While he is still in school, Michael Jezierny is an active participant in numerous undergraduate and graduate courses and Auxiliary members of the IEEE Mid-Atlantic Section. He is looking forward to working with his future coworkers to carry out his research and contribute to IEEE ideas and services.
