Visualisation Software Engineer @ Developed 3D visualisation software and tools for viewing, analysing, and publishing Geoscience Australia's datasets.
Developed successful 3D Data Viewer, a virtual globe visualisation application written in Java and based on NASA's World Wind SDK, replacing out-dated X3D publishing method.
Wrote initial version of the Animator tool, used by GA for creating high-resolution animated fly-throughs of spatial geoscientific data.
Implemented per-pixel shading, subsurface viewing, an asymmetic frustum stereoscopic view, 3D model support, and a virtual reality implementation using the Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra combination.
Created Android app used as a remote control of the Viewer's functionality over a Bluetooth connection.
Lead development of the EarthSci platform, an earth-science visualisation library based on the Eclipse 4 Application Platform.
Released GA's full visualisation suite and the EarthSci platform as open source software, under the Apache 2.0 license.
