Michael Epley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Media Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University. He has been working as an investigative reporter for more than a decade, and has local, national, and even international exposure. In that time, he has reported on a wide range of stories, from high-profile sexual assault cases to Peng Zhou’s ailing parents.Epley has also worked extensively in the psychological field, having completed a post-doctoral fellowship in psychology at the University of New South Wales in Australia. Although he is notillusioned with the psychological community’s expertise in the area, his research in the field will likely be of use to the investigative reporter community.While he has worked in a variety of field settings, Epley finds his happiest work when working on investigative stories where he can learn and apply new information and techniques. He is currently working on a project that looks into the social implications of new marijuana laws in various states.He is also an accomplished speaker and debater, having won multiple awards for his speeches and debates. Epley is excited to devote his energies to outside projects in the future, but currently his primary focus is on continuing his successful career as an investigative reporter.

He's most recently been a director/executive recruiter at Cornerstone Consultants LLC, where he has responsibility for finding and hiringappropriate New professionals for their broadcast media businesses. Additionally, he has worked at WKOM Radio 101.7 FM in Kennedy Broadcasting Company as a play-by-play broadcaster and as general manager at Powerhouse Gym. Michael has been a volunteer spotter for the Tennessee Titans since 2012. He was also a reporter/marketing at Cumulus Media from January 2005 to January 2008.
