Michael Burcham's current educational background is a Doctorate of Health Administration from Medical University of South Carolina where he received his undergraduate degree in 2000. He then completed his MBA from Belmont University in 2003. He then completed the Jack C. Massey graduate school of business at Belmont University in 1987-1989. Michael Burcham has been a Physical Therapy Therapist since 1980 and has experience working with people of all ages. His current work readiness level is within the acceptable ranges.

Born and raised in Nashville, he went to Vanderbilt University School of Business where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration in 1995. From 1995-1999, he was a management consultant at Narus Health, a specialty care support and disease management firm focused on the sickest 1% of individuals. There, he developed the business model, capital funding, building of the management team and growth of the business in the Rehabilitation space. Michael served as President at ParadigmHealth from January 2001 to December 2007 (7 years). At HCA, he had the opportunity to establish the relationships between our hospitals and the healthplans / payers. In the late 1980s - early 1990s, it was an amazing time in the healthcare space. Michael has been a business columnist for Forbes since 2006 and is the author of the book, “The Entrepreneur's Bible: Yearbook of the Start-Up Revolution”. He is also a guest lecturer at Vanderbilt University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is currently serving as an Executive Partner at Shore Capital Partners.
