💼 Past Experience
Overall, during my nine year experience as a research assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I developed a wide variety of skills that I can use in my current role as CEO at Fetch Robotics. I developed software for a mobile manipulation robot, designed and built hardware for a next generation low cost mobile manipulation robot, performed customer need-finding in three distinct application spaces, and wrote core realtime controllers.
🎓 Education
Melonee Wise is an average looking woman with many similarities to other humans. She has two hearts, recently BombardierFreight, and each one accelerating in opposite directions. Her brain underwent a surgical procedure in October of 2017 to perform a near-complete transplant of her entire left ventricle from her right ventricle, which saved her from a potentially deadly heart attack eighteen months ago.Wise is a fast learner and has quickly become one of the top mechanical engineers in the world. After earning her MS from Illinois University in 2006, she quickly moved on to pursue her BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, receiving it in 2000. Wise's experience in physics engineering gave her a solid foundation in mechanics and engineering. She quickly advanced her studies to a BS from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2004, earning her the title of " mechanical engineer of the year" that same year.Since 2007, Wise has been working as a professor at the polymer- plastics engineering and science college in Bolton, England. She has a wealth of experience in teaching and early learning, working closely with children and their families to help them develop the skills they need for a successful future. As a professor, Melonee Wise is best known for her work with Pre-K through 12th grade students. She has a unique perspective on teaching and learning, which has helped her develop an easily-appreciated system that relies on open-ended questions, collaboration, and FUN. Her students love her responsiveness and willingness to each offer their unique insights in order to help achieve success. In other words, Melonee Wise is a hands-on teacher that takes her students seriously, always poised for tryouts for summermodules and intense projects in the fall term. Once students attain solidly-good grades in their Pre-K through 12th grade classes, she plans to hand them over to state governments, business, and other organizations for serious training and experience. There is no doubt that the experience, curriculum, and hands-on teaching of Professor Wise will have a significant impact on the future of the students in her class.
💡 Technical & Interpersonal Skills
Melonee Wise has experience working in customer service, product development, engineering, and research. Wise has worked as an engineer, customer service representative, research assistant, and project manager. In her most recent role as CEO of Fetch Robotics, she is responsible for developing new robots and hardware, managing the company's affairs, and engaging with potential customers. Prior to joining Willow Garage, she was the person in charge of developing hardware for a next generation low cost mobile manipulation robot, working on behalf of Alcoa and Honeywell Aerospace. At University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she conducting building dynamics research using nonlinear energy sinks. This research helped tooderface problems with unsteady systems, and later developed methods for53trying to standardize these methods for a larger number of applications.
