Truitt continues, “I made a lot of mistakes, but I always kept going and I Persevered. even when things were tough.”After completing her undergraduate degree, Truitt moved to the Bay Area, where she worked as a journalist. There, she determined to make a difference in her community and worked to improve her skills. Truitt went on to receive her Master of Arts in English/Communications from Waynesburg College in 2006.
