Photographed the events and managed the Flickr account. Translated event descriptions and speaker bios from spanish to english for the website. From May 2013 to July 2013 (3 months) Student at NYU BA @ From August 2012 to July 2013 (1 year) Intern @ Researched extensively to enhance and solidify a school curriculum that uses an object based learning approach to teach about global connectivity through the lens of different industries. Prepared to implement the curriculum in 7th and 8th grade classrooms in Washington D.C., Detroit, Cincinnati and Accra, Ghana. Sorted through archive material to develop communication strategies and to build multi-media presentations for the website. Identified key targets to reach out to for press. From May 2012 to August 2012 (4 months) PR Advanced Conference Coordinator @ Managed a 20-person committee for 7 months to plan a 200-person Public Relations Conference at Boston University. The AFUTU Project introduces the "We Intend" campaign that revolves around the question "What world do you intend for our children?" Participants write their answers on an old tee-shirt. These tee-shirts are taken to Ghana where seamstresses create them into backpacks that will be sold online and around college campuses to raise money to promote children's education and community development in Accra, Ghana. From January 2012 to February 2012 (2 months) Creative Promotional Designer @ Designed all promotional material that advertised and created awareness about the PR Advanced: Be the Change conference. Assisted in the planning of the conference as a whole. From October 2010 to February 2011 (5 months) Fashion Case Study Competition Coordinator @ Organized all aspects of the competition. Researched and contacted non-profit fashion company Of Rags to be the focus of the competition. Created judging criteria, rules, and information packet.
