Mayra Andrade has a B.A. from the City University of Denver in Sociology - which she received through the program’s online option. Andrade spent her academic years in Portland, Oregon, where she was a research associate at the University of Utah’s Institute of Politics.After a year of graduate school in sociology and policy at the University of Utah, Andrade moves back to Denver to take a position as an assistant research associate at the University of Denver’s School of Business Administration. There, Andrade continued her work on a project focused on the use of fictions to understand the effects of race and social class in the United States.Andrade’s current work perspective in business administration after completing her undergraduate degree allows her to think about her work in a fresh way, rather than from a methodological perspective. Andrade is currently completing her masters in business administration, with a focus on marketability and career development for Chicana/o women in the corporate world.
