Specialties: Ruby, AngularJSFull Stack Software Engineer @ I wrote the code that powers BitPesa's blockchain remittances to Tanzania. (https://bitcoinmagazine.com/20456/african-bitcoin-remittance-service-bitpesa-expands-tanzania/) Luckily BitPesa open-sourced the code on github.com You can find my fork of it at https://github.com/wallclockbuilder/selcom From October 2014 to January 2015 (4 months) NairobiSoftware Engineer @ Tollab is ballot spelt backwards. We were turning the campus election industry upside down. My friend and I were running the Linguistics Students Association on campus. Problem was we didn't have the 1,000USD we needed back then to print ballot papers for the association's executive election. I wrote software that we used to organise the election. It cost the association less than 100USD. A year 90 percent of elections on campus don't use dead tree ballot paper anymore. They now use eVoting for elections in the University of Ghana student communtiy. Less dead tree paper used. Less cost. Much more sustainable. Results are declared in less than an hour instead of the usual 4 hours. That was one of the fun things I did on campus. Tollab Solutions is the company that I incorporated to receive payments from the over 50 student associations who wanted to buy the software.
