Thanks for reading my profile.
I am a proud entrepreneur, in other words: I never want to stop learning. Moreover, I firmly believe that if you are not learning the way you want to learn, then you aren't doing what you love. Most of us learn this in high school, or via an internship, career change, or even a company we started in our parents' garage.
I look back at my career, joining the dots and realise just how connected it all is. There is one common thread across my cornucopia of a career - attempting things regardless of their scalability. From studying in Japan, dealing championship hands at a poker table to creating intricate short term debt products in distant lands - letting go of the tiller and having the courage to try things without knowing how they fit in has got me to where I am today.
I never dreamed back when I was a banker that I would have the opportunity to grow the hell out a startup, but I wanted it! For the first time since I started a web hosting company during undergraduate, I am in my element; doing what I want to do, courageously and passionately.
Grew DeliveryHero to Exit ($586m), Grew Quandoo to Exit ($219m) Now growing Zomato!
As for banking - thank you,
The bank gave me a breadth of experience across debt, cash, working capital, balance sheet management, across SME, retail, institutional, Bank to Bank relationships, and throughout Asia. First hand knowledge has taught me something which I found hard to comprehend from innovation theory alone; What goes up, can't go down.
There is an unmistakable opportunity for disruptive innovation - this is why I'm here.

Best job in the world in the best city in the world. Putting together an elite team to make Melbourne better for Restauranteurs. Zomato is an amazing company to work for; really it's just a big warm foodie family. We think we're a pretty cool bunch of food-nerds. We have our own Zalphabet calling ourselves Zomans, and adding a Z to pretty much everything we can including certain fruits... (did you know a walnut is technically a fruit?)
For Melbournian foodies, your life is about to get a lot better. We are keeping everything from Urbanspoon but now have a massive focus on discovery - helping you find sexy restaurants and try them out. In a few weeks we will have personally met with over 11,000 restaurants and cafes here in Melbourne.
This is what being a Zoman is all about: We are willing to do exactly what no one else is in Melbourne - put a massive team of people on the ground working face to face with restaurants to help them get their brand in your mouth.
