Also I support a syndication service we provide to multiple 3rd party companies. As well as supporting users with individual issues one of my responsibilities is to monitor and maintain the sites with 2nd line teams to make sure that the platform is stable and that the users are getting the best possible experience whist visiting the sites. Another integral part of my role is to provide Desktop Support to the internal technical and editorial teams for both Windows and Mac based machines. This can consist of a simple RAM upgrade to a full system rebuild making sure that my colleagues are happy and able to work to the best of there abilities. I also have the responsibility of supporting and maintaining multiple servers. In the role I have to use a ticket management system (Service Now) to log and prioritize incidents and problem as they get reported. Making sure that incidents get escalated to the correct teams promptly ensure the best possible resolution the incidents. At SSP I have to use my knowledge of SQL and UNIX as well as my extensive knowledge of windows to find the root and solution of a problem that a user may be facing.
