💼 Past Experience

Matt Weiss has over twenty years of experience in the marketing, advertising and public relations fields. He has held senior positions at huge industries including Havas Worldwide, Havas New York, and Huge Brooklyn. Weiss has also been a Managing Partner at Havas and Head of Strategic Growth at Huge. In his previous roles, Weiss helped lead Havas to 2 successive years ofij APAC Media Awards (now The Asia-Pacific Media Awards). In his current role, he is the Global Chief Marketing Officer and Global Chief Revenue Officer at Havas Worldwide. Weiss has also been involved in many other notable projects such as the implementation of Havas’ own global social media strategy, the launch of Havas’ new global search engine and the development of Acompli, the leading e-commerce platform in the world.

🎓 Education

Matt Weiss's education kicked off in the fall of 2006 with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Davis. After waiting out the first year of the new school year, Weiss finally had his hands on a college degree and was ready to take on the world.In the academic year that followed, Weiss attended the University of California, Berkeley as a graduate student. There, he took classes in political science, international relations, and history, all of which would have importance in his future career.Upon his return to the U.S., Weiss started his own business development company, giving him plenty of experience in business management. In the next two years, he also took on a two-year teachorship in Political Science from the Pacific Research Institute.After taking all of these various courses and teaching for two years, Weiss decided that he was ready for a more hands-on experience. He applied to Teach for America and was interviewed and accepted into the program in the spring of 2011.After completing his Teach for America training, Matt Weiss becomes a Teach for America Teacher in Residence in the fall of 2011. After living and working in a diverse number of schools and districts over the course of his time as a TFA teacher, he has learned a great deal about how to make a difference in the education of others.Now that Matt Weiss has a background in political science, international relations, and history, he is ready to take on any challenge that comes his way. As a Teach for America teacher, he will be working with the most diverse group of students in the country, and he is deeply passionate about his work. Matt Weiss is excited to provide some of the best education a child can receive and will continue to work hard to ensure that all children have access to quality education.
