Background:Matt Scherer studied engineering at theUniversity of Utah, majoring in civil engineering. After a two year hiatus, Scherer resumed his engineering studies at Utah State University in 2013. As a civil engineer, Scherer spent a two year stint working at McCourt Construction Company, where he was a part of the team designing and building the company's energy solar business. He then transferred to Trinity Solar in April 2015 and worked as a consultant designing and implementing energy solutions for the company's clients. He also worked as an energy consultant for a small energy company for two and a half years before joining Amazon Private Label in May 2013.
