Prior to coming to Postmates, Matt spent 3 years as a Hardware Engineer at Postmates X. During this time, he worked on a wide range of hardware projects ranging from "off the shelf" electronics like Xbox controllers and gaming laptops to more advanced design projects like the fabless ASICs used in Apple products. He taught lower division electrical engineering classes at UC Berkeley and also took part in tutoring two UC Berkeley students in these classes. Matt is also a longtime electronics consultant and have consulted with a number of major electronics companies such as Apple, Industri naive, and Lagrangian Sensor Systems Laboratory. He has experience in the design and layout of PCBs and FPCs as well as slew, PWM, and timing analysis. In his most recent position, he was also lead EE for the Amazon Echo Dot during a key development phase for the product. Matt has been working at Postmates since August of 2016.In his previous positions at Apple and Planeta, Matt has been responsible for both features development and direct hardware engineering.
