It powers the Learn-Verified Web Developer program—the first online educational program to offer students a money-back guarantee of employment upon completion. I helped refresh the roadmap for—and shipped a major new version of—OkHello, a mobile video communication & collaboration app that achieved several million downloads in its day. Led day-to-day product management of Glass software team, helping graduate project from lab to shipping product. In particular, focused on handsfree gestural input (including voice experience), camera features, system UX and developer platform (aka Glass Development Kit).
Built personalized & social recommendation engine inside core local search experience in Google Maps; drove place ratings & reviews features in mobile products; spearheaded effort to integrate identity model and social graph with Google+.
Worked across all mobile platforms to help take user base from less than 10M to over 100M in 2.5 years. Launched mobile HTML5 version of Maps. Launched first integrated desktop+mobile features. Launched Latitude on iPhone, Symbian and Windows Mobile. From February 2008 to December 2013 (5 years 11 months) Director, Product & Business Development @ Brought social web security product from concept to launch in less than 6 months with 3-person team, and achieved immediate adoption across every major blogging platform. Defensio was later acquired by Websense (NASDAQ:WBSN).
