Massimo Ghidetti has a diploma from the University of Liceo scientifico Belfiore Mantova, Italy, in Diploma scientificoMathématiques (1975-1980). Ghidetti has also holds a Master's degree in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After leaving the University of Liceo scientifico Belfiore Mantova, Ghidetti worked at the Claudio Boccanegra publishing house in Rome, Italy from 1980-1981. Ghidetti then moved to London, England from 1981 to 1984 and worked at the Adam and Eve publishing house. Ghidetti finally moved to New York City in 1984 and worked as an assistant editor at the New Yorker magazine from 1985-1989. Ghidetti then moved to London and began working as an editor at the Observer magazine from 1989-1996. Ghidetti then founded his own publishing house, Ghidetti Edizioni, in 1996. Ghidetti has published over forty books and many book length articles. Ghidetti is also a regular lecturer at many universities around the world.
