Goal was to maximize potential functionality with application and improved future state processes. Mainly in the area of HIM's Coding Dept. Extensive CM and PI was conducted. •PM, Optum’s CAC v 5.x Implementation (SaaS Model) – Exec. w/ activation scheduled for April 2014. From June 2011 to March 2014 (2 years 10 months) Clinical Informatics Coordinator @ Primary Accountabilities: Team Lead - Provided leadership, facilitated planning, development and evaluation of the SCM (EHR) application and work flows in cooperation with systems wide representatives for Health First. A significant contributor for the testing phase and implementation of the Physician Order Entry Management system, the Emergency Department (ED Manager) application and also the electronic Medication Administration (eMAR) modules for the organization. Experience with process/performance improvement methodologies, implementing change and risk assessment and analysis. Provided technical support and customer service for trouble shooting glitches and system issues, including the documentation and escalation of user issues to appropriate team and/or leadership. Project Lead for the content development of physician orders for electronic implementation. *Project Lead – Worked with HIT and HIM and was responsible for review, updating, revising and reconciling the content of physician orders for approximately 300 order sets for the organization. Specific to content, worked closely with the Informatics Medical Director and physician designees. Achieving standardized orders for organization was the objective. *Informatics Team Lead - Migration from paper to electronic entry of orders in to SCM by physicians, nursing other disciplines. Complete change in multidisciplinary workflows and multiple processes. *Informatics Team Lead – Emergency Services clinical system replacement from A4 Emstat to SCM ED Manager to include display board, clinical documentation, exit care, order management and prescription writer. *Informatics Team Lead – Pharmacy system replacement that provided an integrated and closed loop approach to medication management and migration to an electronic medication administration record (eMAR). From August 2008 to June 2011 (2 years 11 months) Sr. Compliance Auditor @ Senior Compliance Auditor Health First, Inc. 2/2005 – 12/2007 Primary Accountabilities: Organizational wide audits and compliance interaction with various departments. Performed reviews, compiled risks and assessments and reported results based on corporate annual audit plan for Health First, department specific requests, and/or Compliance generated issues. Created audit plans, performed research, created audit client assist listings, audit review tools and final report presentations. Would create custom reports in MIDAS and utilized the RAT/STATs application for random sampling. Utilized Comply Track database for Compliance and/or Audit data entry and topic maintenance.
