I'm a search consultant for senior appointments across various B2B service sectors, and have proven my recruitment expertise in assignments across pharmaceuticals, engineering, transport, renewable energy, instrumentation, IT and software, construction, building services, automotive, sports events, accountancy, landscaping, charities, social networking among many. Because of my career background I mainly concentrate on high calibre and senior level appointments, but also work on marketing and sales roles.

I provided a highly personal and discreet service and gained a reputation I didn't expect. I sold this business to Recruitment South East in March 2014 and joined them to head up their Executive Search function. From April 2006 to March 2014 (8 years) Owner | Headhunter | Recruiter | B2B Services @ SAM was a great introduction to being a headhunter, and we built the business to 12 UK Partners with my Danish business partner. In 2011 I thought it could be done with more pace and that new technology held great efficiency opportunities, so I sold my shares and set off on my own.......
This business was built on the sector specialties of the various partners who joined. I retained and developed B2B Services, but also learned a good deal from the other UK Partners who focused on Retail, Engineering, Life Sciences, Automotive and Sales and Marketing. Got most of them growing again, although some needed extra attention to overcome a stubborn streak. From January 2000 to April 2006 (6 years 4 months) UK | Europe | North America | Africa | AustralasiaManaging Director @ I was the Managing Director, based in Sydney for 2 years. Loved Sydney and the job. Had a great time, but was dragged back kicking and screaming for a UK based promotion. From January 1998 to December 1999 (2 years) Australia and New ZealandManaging Director - UK Healthcare Division @ This was a service provided for women, by women, in the washroom. The business had stopped growing and was losing customers and employees too quickly. Improved that and got promoted to run the Aussie outfit....... From January 1997 to December 1998 (2 years) UKManaging Director @ I was handed a rag-bag of acquisitions and asked to weave them together into something that could grow with a nationwide footprint and consistent service standards. We added some other bolt-ons and managed to define our strengths and find our niche. Averaged 40% net profit growth and cleaned up the balance sheet. From January 1993 to December 1996 (4 years) Marketing Manager @ A great grounding for what was to follow. I was also seconded to some line positions for development. Learned stacks about sales, profit and people.
