No, when I mention hacker in my profile I don't mean hacking into banks but a way of learning and approaching technical problems. I like getting my hands dirty. Or you could extend this into solving business problems as you can't always do everything by the book and in the ideal way.
I'm a Finnish programmer and I'm passionate about DevOps. I have around 10 years of experience in software development and automation of everything and anything. For the past years I've been working with a DevOps job title.
As a developer I'm most experienced in PHP and I've been building anything from WordPress sites to fully tested OOP applications. I enjoy writing both client and server side Javascript and use Python as my go-to language for automation. I guess you would categorize me as a backend developer.
A long list to follow, not sure if it's that interesting, but I have experience in:
- Developing websites as a full stack developer
- Server-side programming in PHP, Python and Node.js
- Backend development of Drupal and WordPress CMS projects
- Continuous integration and automation of development environments, testing and cloud infrastructure
- Cloud architecture and configuration management
- Integration with CRM and e-commerce systems
- Web analytics and SEO using Google Analytics and other commercial products, technical implementation and analysis of data
- Building websites with display advertising and developing bespoke integration solutions for partners
- Working with IT and security teams and 3rd party vendors
- Vulnerability / Penetration Testing, OWASP, automation using Nessus, OpenVAS, WhiteHat Sentinel
- Web application firewalls, implementation, problem solving and maintenance
- Load and performance testing, in-house using LoadImpact and SOASTA and fully managed testing by partners
