Since its establishment in the Netherlands in 2014, Connecting Realities has helped businesses operationalise their business models and investments in new and innovative metaverse spaces. connect-reality.com is, as the name suggests, a connecting point for reality businesses who want to extend their reach into the Metaverse. Connecting Realities offers businesses a range of services and tools to make their job in the Metaverse easier, such as tutorials and support for developing spatial LMSs and creative commercial concepts for metaverse spaces. SAMURE is a business development andcommerce partner for Connecting Realities.SAMURE is the first livestock retailer in the Netherlands to open a store outside the city and sell meat online. The store is open to the public and features a Department Store feel, complete with a Gilded Cage. SAMURE uses Connecting Realities’ spatial LMS, but also offers a unique commercial concept: a Mirror Worlds metaverse where visitors can buy and sell livestock and commodities.In November 2016, Connecting Realities received a grant from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and development program in the area of Spatial Information Technology. The grant will help Connecting Realities to develop practical business models and investments in new, innovative spatiotemporary space management models.The grant is a tribute to the innovative work capabilities of both Connecting Realities and SAMURE. SAMURE’s business development andcommerce partnership with Connecting Realities is a perfect example of how two innovative companies can work together to bring about innovative business experiences for their clients.

Mark de Jong is currently working as a developer at SAMURE. As founder of Connecting Realities, he helped create a Metaverse where users can connect with one another to create businesses and invest in mapping projects. He is also the owner of various businesses such as Business developer, concepter and project developer, having participated in starting and individualizing a number of businesses. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
