I worked on developing, testing and deploying new software features for Qualcomm's upstream software-defined network fabric projects. My primary responsibility was developing and testing network fabric software features, as well as supporting and maintaining the network fabric project tools. I also contributed to the design, development and testing of various new Qualcomm software-defined network fabric parts, such as the FabricPort YARN Module, the FabricPort MCU and the FabricPort Agent. I also wrote code for the mobile interface for DL-2 and DL-3 networks. I was a member of the Network Fabric and Software Development collaboration at Qualcomm.I have been a software engineer on Spark at Cloudera for 5 years,where my main focus has been developing streaming engines, in particular, Spark Streaming. We are also responsible for developing rpm/debian packages and a custom open source format (parcel) for distributing Cloudera software. I am also a contributor to Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Apache Sqoop, Apache Pig, and Apache Flume - having contributed code to all these projects. Mark Grover is a self-taught computer engineer with a background ininformation technology. Grover is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a B.A. and a C.S.E. in Computer Engineering. Grover has been working in the industry since early 2001 as a systems engineer for a technology company. Grover is currently working as a software engineer for a technology company and is aspiring to achieve his goal of becoming a software engineer with more than five years of experience. Grover hasalways been an Eagle Scout, and has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years.

💡 Technical & Interpersonal Skills

I worked on algorithm development and community relations for Qualcomm’s mobile operating system, Snapdragon. As a software engineer on Snapdragon, I was responsible for developing and maintaining the open source Snapdragon software stack, providing leadership on new features and improving existing code. I also developed novel algorithms for mobile phone imagers, including portrait and wide-angle photograph scanners, secure natural language processing (NLP) deployments, and face recognition. As a part of this work, I built strong relationships with the Snapdragon community and contributed to the development of several open source projects.
