💼 Past Experience
I worked on developing, testing and deploying new software features for Qualcomm's upstream software-defined network fabric projects. My primary responsibility was developing and testing network fabric software features, as well as supporting and maintaining the network fabric project tools. I also contributed to the design, development and testing of various new Qualcomm software-defined network fabric parts, such as the FabricPort YARN Module, the FabricPort MCU and the FabricPort Agent. I also wrote code for the mobile interface for DL-2 and DL-3 networks. I was a member of the Network Fabric and Software Development collaboration at Qualcomm.I have been a software engineer on Spark at Cloudera for 5 years, where my main focus has been developing streaming engines, in particular, Spark Streaming. I was responsible for led the effort to deliver Spark 2 to Cloudera customers. Previously, I was the team lead for the Packaging and Integration team at Cloudera. The Packaging and Integration team is responsible for integrating various components in the Hadoop ecosystem into a single coherent distribution. This involves integration the components with each other (for example, Hive's integration with HCatalog and Hadoop) but also integration of the same components with underlying infrastructure (JVM, Operating System). We are also responsible for developing rpm/debian packages and a custom open source format (parcel) for distributing Cloudera software. I am also a contributor to Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Apache Sqoop, Apache Pig, and Apache Flume - having contributed code to all these projects. Summer Software Intern at Qualcomm from May 2008 to August 2008 (4 months) in Boulder, CO, USA. I worked as an Embedded Software Developer on Qualcomm's Brew Mobile Platform. As a part of the Digital Rights Management (DRM) team, I automated the internal granting, validation and rendering of protected content Qualcomm's flagship OS to save testing time. Committer on Apache Bigtop at The Apache Software Foundation in San Francisco Bay Area. I am a committer on Apache Bigtop project. It's a project responsible for packaging various projects in the Hadoop ecosystem into a single coherent cutting-edge distribution. It also responsible for integration and interoperability testing of various projects in the Hadoop ecosystem. One of our end goals is to make Bigtop the de-facto reference for getting Hadoop and related projects introduced into most Linux distributions.me.
