Served as HIPAA Compliance Officer.• Produced total of $45 million in company savings across three years, by transitioning medical, dental, and prescription plans to Anthem. Also integrated national PPO network into company benefits package. • Reduced liability by approximately $5 million through management of Unemployment Compensation Program, adding $2 million in annual tax credits through effective oversight of Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program.• During MacFrugals / PicnSave acquisition, shuttered west coast offices, integrating processes into existing Columbus-based departments. Performed due diligence efforts of company’s HR teams during three total acquisitions, coordinating implementation of all benefit plans for acquired entities, and conducting national benefits training during transition of all benefit programs.• Negotiated life insurance and LTD contracts during tenure at savings of $5+ million, obtaining superior annual rates without any plan payment increases. Additionally, negotiated benefits and HRIS-related contracts valued at savings of several million dollars, during course of employment.• Eliminated $3 million in annual company expenses by removing 1,500 dependents from plan, after completing employer’s first ever dependent audit covering medical and dental plans. From February 1994 to March 2013 (19 years 2 months) Columbus, Ohio AreaHuman Resource Manager @ Ferno Washington Served as HR Generalist accountable for two staff and daily operations tied to company benefit, compensation, employee relation, health and safety, government compliance program, and recruiting and staffing functions.
