REVENUE GENERATION as a TECHNOLOGY EXECUTIVE I helped transform our software company from post start-up to a $150 million international software/service provider to the broadcast industry through organic growth and strategic acquisition. I was instrumental in product planning , developed a product roadmap and implemented it which increased software sales, accelerating revenues from $3 to $16 million in 3 years. I grew revenues to $10 million, delivering a $2.9 million profit as divisional GM/VP delivering software to ad agencies. OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT I was COO of a public company specializing in direct marketing of educational products and services nationwide. I also ran our Dallas operations center.

I joined the executive team and provided cross functional leadership to roll out their flagship storage array product to 30 customers nationwide enabling $13M of PE funding. From September 2011 to October 2012 (1 year 2 months) CTO @ VarVee is a SaaS startup that celebrates high school sports by solving the coaches’ challenge of collecting and reporting game statistics. Hired to build and lead the engineering team and develop and implement product strategy while raising venture funding. We successfully launched 15 sports in 5 states and raised VC funding. From July 2008 to September 2011 (3 years 3 months) Chief Product Officer @ Entrepreneurial venture focused on identifying ways to utilize technology to enhance education. We assisted Barrington Irving to become the youngest person to pilot a plane around the world solo and helped Douglas County School System acquire a STEM grant to improve their math program. From March 2006 to July 2008 (2 years 5 months) Greater Denver AreaChief Operating Officer / VP Technology @ We provided services to thousands of high school students each year to help them identify a college of their choice, gain admittance, and acquire financing. I led day to day operations and strategic initiatives focusing on enhancing our product offerings and utilizing technology to increase overall efficiency within the company. I also led our direct mail and lead generation initiatives. From July 2002 to March 2006 (3 years 9 months) Executive VP Products and Services @ Encoda the leading broadcast industry back office software provider worldwide grew to $150M in annual revenue. It was subsequently sold to Harris Corp. for $340M. We worked with many of the TV, radio, cable, and international satellite operations around the world. We helped transform an industry and had a lot of fun doing it. I provided innovative leadership to a team of 200 professionals developing our product strategy and then implementing it creating great products and happy customers. . Working with customers to identify and implementing next generation solutions for the broadcast industry was exciting. I executed over a dozen mergers and acquisitions, sometimes doing due diligence and sometimes post-merger integration. Before moving to Colorado, I was VP/GM of our NY division with full P and L responsibility for 60 people. We provided software to ad agencies and consistently exceeded our financial goals. From 1982 to 2002 (20 years) Co-founder @ I was co-founder of a company that developed software systems for the advertising industry. We merged our company into Mini Pak, one of INC magazine's 100 fastest growing companies, and I became a member of the management team.
