After graduating from college in 1995, Mark DeFrancesco moved to Connecticut, where he worked as a painter Contractor. In 2003, he started his own construction company, DEFrancesco Architects Inc., which has been serving local clients in Connecticut and New York since 2003.Mark loves all things food - he's a foodie and a fashionista, and loves to travel. He's a 49ers fan and also enjoys coaching in the construction industry. In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters, and cats.

Mark DeFrancesco holds a undergraduate degree from Boston College, and a graduate degree from the University of Virginia. He began his professional career in 2006 as a research associate at the National Science Foundation. From there, he relocated to the University of Utah and was then employed as an associate professor at the university from 2012 to 2017.
