💼 Past Experience

I came to the States from England in 2006 and worked as a writer and technical/grant writer for Corbin Independent Schools. then Executive Producer at Red 95 Films from January 2006 to January 2011. I then Instructor at Eastern Kentucky University from February to April 2011. After winning the Cannes Award for Best Screenplay for my short film “Unbroken” in 2016, I am nowworks as a Screenwriter for Freelance. In 2017 I was awarded a Fellowship from Screenwriters’ GuildAmericas for my work on the feature film “The Crown”.

After finishing his undergraduate studies at UCLA, Mark moved to New York City to start his Career as a Playwright and Screenwriter. After three years of writing and promoting shows in NYC, Mark moved back to New York and started work on his first script- an NC-17 rated comedy. After two years of writing, Mark decided to move to Columbia College to complete his MS in Communication and Media Studies/Education. There, Mark met his great friend andproducer Matt Lauer, who would eventually become his mentor and business partner.Mark Daniels has now been working as a AD director for 10 years and has created over 150 projects including commercials,feature films, and TV shows. In his time as AD director,Mark has won multiple awards, including a BAFTA for Lifetime Achievement. At the same time, Mark has firmly planted himself as a leading asset and leader in the AD directors field.
