During his tenure with the company, Mark was instrumental in expanding Microsoft’s consumer and Internet businesses into Southeast Asia India, China, Japan and Korea. Mark holds a diploma in Law from LPAB.

Taking on the CEO role in 2011 - at what was then known as “ninemsn” - Mark led the expansion of the business to incorporate a range of new investments and advertising technologies. He then drove the corporate rebrand to Mi9 with its supporting purpose “to create the future of media” and imagination + intelligence underpinning everything they do.
In 2013 Mark instigated a project that saw Mi9 make a very public commitment to its people. The Mi9 employee Manifesto (www.mi9manifesto.com.au) outlines what the business stands for, the culture Mi9 aspires and a number of statements designed to help people assess their personal contributions at work.
Mark inspired a forward-thinking approach to social responsibility at Mi9– and how this ultimately fits into employees’ wider connection with their jobs. In addition to the work Mi9 now delivers back to the community, Mark was an ambassador for Conscious Capitalism Australia, a Director of UN LTD a foundation established to empower the consciousness of the media industry to undo youth disadvantage. He is also a business mentor to KidsXpress Life - an organisation that provides children with therapies that help them to cope with trauma.
Mark is Chairman of the Australian Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) the industry body dedicated to the growth of the interactive advertising marketplace.
Mark is also a non-executive Director on the board of iCarAsia, a publicly listed ASX company based out of Kuala Lumpur. iCar is the largest network of online automotive sites across Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
