The Payments Council Board has endorsed plans to deliver the enhanced account switching service through the implementation of a centralised redirection service and Nationwide is one of the participating banks. I joined the Programme during the Project Initiation as a Senior Business Analyst; I was responsible for documenting the ‘As-Is’ Account switching processes, identifying the Nationwide specific Account Switching Requirements and defining the high level ‘To-Be’ processes.[November 2011 – January 2012]. The PSD 2012 Project will implement the changes regarding these outstanding regulations; outbound payments time frames, and the rules around refusal of payment orders.
