Born and raised in coastal New York state, Maria Adragna began her education at Alexander High School in 1998, graduating in 2001. After one year of college, she followed in her father’s footsteps and left New York for the University of Maine, where she earned a degree in business. After a four-year period of study, Maria completed her medical license and decided to move to New York City to pursue her career in the medical profession.After a few years of early morning practice at a law firm and a year of working in a reinsurance brokerage, Maria decided to venture out on her own, starting her own business in 2005. She first worked in the sales and marketing position at Steve and Maria’s Pastry Shoppe, a centuries-old business in the heart of New York City. There she was responsible for all purchases, cost control, advertising, and customer relations. She also created, revised, and updated Horizon II business rules and procedures for global usage with cross-functioning teams, established and supervised a catering program, and created and oversaw a sales and closing practices for the leasing team.In 2018, Maria was approached by Candid, a startup that was looking to expand into new markets and hire a Sales and Marketing Specialist. After six months of comprehensive training, Maria was ready to start selling Candid’s Orthodontic Treatment Plan. She actively sold the plan to new and existing customers, metHer quota, and generated significant sales and revenue. She was also praised for her general sales and customer service skills, and was named a Top Sales Representative by her company. In her role as Sales and Marketing Specialist, Maria continued to support the growth of Candid and provide world-class customer service. She is also highly experienced in sales and marketing, having successfully sold and marketed several products overseas.

It was during her time at Dalhousie University where she met and started working with me. I had been a student at Mount St. Vincent College from 1992 to 1994. Prior to starting work with me in 2001, Maria Adragna had also worked as an Animal Husbandry Technician in a pet store. In 2007, Maria Adragna was finally employed by me as an Office Administrator.
