💼 Past Experience

Marcia Muniz graduated from UFRJ with a degree in Business Administration in 1998. She worked for three years as an actuary for a Brazilian insurance company and then for two years as an investment banker in Uruguay. In 2000, she joined the team of Ford Motor Europe as a legal representative. Here, she worked for four years, during which time she had the opportunity to represent Ford in a number of corporate law cases and the development of Ford's global business. In 2002, she returned to the Brazilian side and started work for Ford landais. Here, she served as a legal advisor to the president of the company and as the head of team in charge of legal services to the landais unit. However, when the company went bankrupt in 2003, Muniz decided to move back to Europe and started working at PwC, where she wasuntil her appointment as the head of Latin America at Cisco in March 2021.In her previous positions, Muniz has been very successful in terms of her ability to develop and implement various legal strategies within different organizations. She is well-versed in the areas of Corporate Governance, Intellectual Property, Litigation, Employment Law, Contract Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Restructuring, DOS, Negotiation, Contract Negotiation, Licensing, International Law, Privacy Law, Competition Law, Due Diligence, Due diligence, and due diligence. Additionally, Muniz is very comfortable working in a number of different digital spaces and has a strong knowledge of the use of technology in the legal field. Muniz has a excellent understanding of the necessity of proper communication between lawyers and their clients and is extremely experienced in dealing with different media, especially in the area of contract negotiations.

In January 2010, Marcia Muniz graduated from Cel Lep with a degree in Law. She then obtained a Pós MBA from the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in Advanced Boardroom Program for Women. Muniz then two-Year Damaged Goods Litigation Certification with the SEC ( Securities and Exchange Commission) from January 2018 to January 2019. She also holds a Master’s degree in Information Security from the University of Sao Paulo (USP) in ISO/IEC 27001 (ISFS).
