A team of over 1000 people, of which 3 directors.• Integrated the Supply Chain teams and operations of Diageo Brazil and Ypióca after the acquisition of the latter by the former• During the FY 2016, implemented procurement savings, which more than offset a 10% inflation• Delivered logistics savings worth over £8 m during a period of 3 years, assuring an average year-on-year 2,5% reduction on the distribution cost per case, in a scenario of an over 8% yearly logistics inflation• Revamped the S&OP process, reaching a 12 p.p. increase in Sales Forecast Accuracy and reducing stocks by circa 20%• Re-designed and implemented a new Innovation process, guaranteeing 100% of innovation projects delivery in the fiscal year 2016 From January 2013 to November 2016 (3 years 11 months) São Paulo Area, BrazilLogistics Director @ Unilever In charge of distribution and logistics for Unilever Brazil, covering Foods, Home and Personal Care and Ice Cream divisions. A network of 26 distribution centres, spread across the country and transportation of ca. 2 million tonnes of finished products yearly. Annual budget of over € 350 million. A team of over 350 people, of which 7 senior managers• Delivered the lowest ever distribution costs as percentage of turnover, reducing 75 bps over the previous year• In partnership with Sales, led a set of initiatives, which drastically changed the sales and invoice weekly profile, so that end of month weekly peaks went from over 50% to 35% of monthly volumes From March 2012 to December 2012 (10 months) São Paulo Area, BrazilIndaitatuba Site Director @ Unilever In charge of the manufacture of the powder detergents OMO, Surf and Brilhante, which accounted for ca. 30% of the turn over and profitability of Unilever Brazil. A team of over 650 people, of which 9 managers • Implemented phosphate-free formulations – a breakthrough technology development for powder detergents, aligned to the company’s sustainability goals, which demanded equipment and process changes across the entire production flow• Led the plant towards the achievement of the prestigious JIPM World Class TPM Award, breaking records of production volume and efficiency• Implemented safety behaviour based programmes, delivering the first ever year with no recordable accident in the site From February 2010 to February 2012 (2 years 1 month) Indaiatuba, SPPlanning Director Latin America Savoury @ Unilever Responsible for three Planning Processes: Innovation, Strategic and Supply Planning for the Savoury Category, including brands such as Knorr, Cica and Continental. 50 Innovation projects/annum. A team of 53 people (4 managers), located across Latin America (from Mexico through to Argentina)• Led ca. 5 major network re-design projects/annum. Projects implemented, optimizing the supply footprint, have delivered annual savings of over €10 million• Led the portfolio streamline strategy, jointly with R&D and Marketing (over 800 SKU’s).
