In December 2008, Marcello joined Altran, a national healthcare giant in Italy. He served as the company's deputy general manager at the division responsible for shared care offered through Altran hospitals and clinics.Under his leadership, Altran successfully merged its divisional management structures and improved services to its customers. In addition, he developed and rolled out a new business plan that aimed to increase profitability and efficiency.In January 2010, Marcello was reassigned to his previous division, with responsibility for hospital management. He remains Altran's company Deputy General Manager.
