💼 Past Experience

After a sales career in business development and global sales, Marc Boonen became a manager consultant in the early 2000s in Leuven, Belgium. From there, he moved on to become a strategic planner at BlueprintMC LLC in the early 2010s before taking on a role as Executive Manager at LMS international in March 2014. At LMS international, Marc Boonen worked on a variety of projects, including developing marketing plans and implementing organizational changes. He added another dimension to the company's sales execution in the form ofaggressive growth in sales and channels. In October 2016, Marc Boonen took on the role of Vice President & General Manager Americas at Siemens Plm Software, in Troy, Michigan.s capacity as President at Business Development at LMS Brazil a Siemens Business from 2011 to March 2014, responsible for all South American sales, and transferred the region from an opportunistic business to a fast growing entity.

🎓 Education

Marc Boonen has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electro Mechanics from the University Antwerpen in 1982. However, as an up-and-coming professional cyclist, he decided to take a management course at Vlerick Business School in 1999. In 2000, he completed his management course and then decided to start his own business, which he does currently.Boonen has always had a passion for cycling and he first became interested in the sport in high school. He first started racing competitively in the Netherlands and then in the Belgian national cycling team. After a long and successful career eventing in both countries, Marc decided to move to the United States in 2006 and steadily ride for the US cycling teamretch. During his time in America, he has won several races and also experienced some great racing experiences with his new team/colleagues.Overall, Marc has had a successful career in both professional cycling and racing. He has able to learn and develop his riding skills in a variety of different races and team events over the past few years. Most importantly, he has been able to achieve great racing results, evidenced by his titles in the Dutch National Championships and the Belgian National Championships.
