María Blanco has a Licencia en Ingeniería de Navegación (MBA) from the University of Barcelona, where she also earned a Diploma en Ingeniería de Telecomunicaciones (DET) in 2002 and a thesis on “Television Broadcasting Systems for Mobile Use” in 2007. 🎓 Education

María Blanco is a Spanish artist who has been performing and exhibiting her sculpture, art books, drawings and paintings since she was a child. Her piece "3 Months" (2005), features a series of three self-portraits, each datelined a different month: April, May, and June in 2005. The month's themes are motherhood, fertility and miscarriage. In her art, Blanco explores relationships with nature and humans. In her most recent pieces, she frequently utilises light and shadow to create unique statements about the nature of human relationships. In the recently completed "Casa de la Maternidad", Blanco fills the walls of the Herbert Spencer House in London with works inspired by the maternal instinct.specifically the gestation and birthing process. Blanco is currently based in London, but her next project is a retrospective of her work at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Madrid in December 2009.
