Manu Goswami, 18, is a recipient of Canada's Top 20 Under 20 Award and the Student Ambassador for Alberta's Ministry of Education and the former President of Webber Academy's Senior School Students' Union, having represented a collective 260,000 students. He has been quoted and published in various national and international media outlets including the Globe & Mail, Ottawa Citizen, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal and Calgary's Business Journal for his entrepreneurial and philanthropic advocacy which led him to establish Canada's first National Youth Fund - a youth social capital fund that gives grants to youth innovators across Canada.
Manu Goswami serves as the CEO of RafikiMedia, a media agency. He co-founded Canada Thinks, a student-run registered non-profit organization that is nationally recognized. With an outreach of over 50 volunteers across high schools and universities in Canada, Canada Thinks has raised over $2,500 and impacted communities nationwide. Manu Goswami has also represented Canada twice at the World Schools Debating Championships and has been cited as one of Canada's top debaters. Along with debating, Manu has actively promoted student voice through his editorial position at The Young Wanderer - a national student-led publication.
Manu Goswami has also been an avid member of the Legacy Project - an initiative to collect and recycle bottles and use the revenue to fund entrepreneurs in emerging countries via Kiva Foundation. He has started nine organizations up till now - one of which won Southwest Alberta's Company of the Year. Manu is part of the Advisory Board for NPO's like Literacy Empowers.
His most recent work was founding EduCare - a content driven organization for national education reform. He also co-founded Waste Removal Solutions and the Youth Sustainability Prize. Manu is currently going through the Accelerated Interdisciplinary Legal Education program (3+3) at the University of Toronto and Columbia University's School of Law.
