Confident though I was in the quality and accuracy of our instrument I researched the market before launch and discovered the best kept secret in the behavioural profiling world outside of the Americas. PDA International had over the past dozen years or so perfected a psychometric behavioural profiling instrument to such a high level of accuracy and detailed content that I felt it would take me a further few years to reach their level of sophistication. This is time I do not have and so I was very happy to be invited to join the PDA family and now support their interests in developing the UK market place. Covering everything from research and development of New Human Cybernetics to Team Facilitation software. From August 1984 to October 2013 (29 years 3 months) Toulouse Area, FranceSalesman in 1968 Senior Branch Manager 1972 @ I started as a commission only paid on results Sales Associate Abbey Life Assurance September 1968 – July 1984 (15 years 11 months)Manchester and then to Birmingham then back to Manchester Developing my own leads through recommendations and direct calling I became pretty successful in pure sales of insurance/investment plans and multiplied my income six fold over my previous income level I enjoyed a very high persistency rate. After three months I was asked to fulfill a Branch Assistant role which was in fact an unpaid management job. After a further nine months I was asked to move to Birmingham with my then Supervisor who took over the Branch and appointed me assistant Branch Manager; After eighteen months the Branch Manager took a position as Sales Director for our Sister Abbey Leven company in Holland. I was offered the role as Manager of the Amsterdam Branch but declined. A further nine months working with the new manager proved to be quite a learning experience and I was then offered the role as the Manager of the Manchester City Branch of Abbey Life which I happily accepted. Two years after taking over the Manchester branch I was asked to consider moving South to take over the South London Branch of Abbey Life this move I also declined and remained at Manchester until 1984 when I resigned of my own volition being the first Senior Manager to do so. In my twelve years as Manager of the Manchester City Branch I built the Branch strength to 60 self employed sales people. They enjoyed one of the highest true average incomes per person in the sales force as a whole and we boasted one of the highest if not the highest client persistency record in the company. I resigned to broaden my commercial experience. From 1968 to 1984 (16 years) Non retail reserved acounts specialist @ Began as non retail sales in Manchester. Won several awards and became a specialist non retail looking after accounts such as Rolls Royce, Calmic, Massey Ferguson, AEI, Kellogs, British Nuclear Fuels.
