I'm a digital entrepreneur.
I setup my first business when I was 15 that designed basic websites for local companies where I lived after I read 'HTML for Dummies'.
Many moons later, I bootstrapped my first e-commerce startup to $40ml in sales within 18 months, selling 1 million products to 600,000 customers in 143 countries with a team of 50 amazing people.
I founded my current startup Mailcloud in November 2013 to build smarter email and messaging to help the world work faster on mobile devices. We've built a world class team of 11 engineers and have over 30,000 people waiting to BETA the product on iOS and Android.
We announced our Seed Round in October 2014 to take total funding to $2,8ml backed by venture capital investors Octopus Investments, Bessemer Venture Partners, Kima Ventures and Seedcamp. We also have an amazing group of Super Angels including Barry Smith, Co-Founder of Skyscanner, Daniel Malhery, Founder of Deezer, Frederic Court a Partner at Advent Ventures, Jean David Blanc, Julien Codorniou and Irish Tech entrepreneur Ray Nolan.
After studying at the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2002, I ran money for Family offices from Kuwait, Qatar and the UK until 2010. I personally managed over $5bn of investments into technology, funds, real estate and financial securities.
Today, I regularly speak at events for Google, Facebook, Barclays and Harvard Business School where I am a Guest EIR. I love Oreos, Tortilla chips and espresso (although not all together, that would be weird).
Founder & CEO @ Mailcloud is smarter email and messaging, on all your devices. It's the one app you need, to replace 10.
