📖 Summary
As a Technology Executive, Leader, and Strategist, I have created business-centric IT strategies and roadmaps that inspired change, established robust and scalable IT landscapes, transformed operations, and supported significant and sustained growth. In essence, I am "defining the way forward" for organizations, groups, departments, and teams. Over the years, I have used my skills in strategic planning and modeling to improve productivity, cut costs, propel the bottom line, and take performance to a completely new level. Highlights of my contributions: ►Structured and launched an entire IT organization in Burma/Myanmar from scratch in six months with strategies in place to recruit a top-performing team, establish policies, processes, and procedures, and build the IT landscape to enable faster-than-anticipated growth. ►Inspired and led global IT transformation projects to overhaul, optimize, or upgrade existing systems (business intelligence, billing, human resources, and others) and insert advanced business and financial capabilities into a growing organization to support current and future priorities. ►Dramatically reduced costs through vendor negotiations and assertive spending cuts. My specialties include: IT Strategy & Execution ► Business & IT Alignment ► IT Transformation ► IT Architecture & Applications ► IT Leadership ► IT Budgeting ► Business Needs Analysis ► Business Intelligence ► International Project & Program Leadership ► IT Optimization ► IT Portfolio Management ► Best Practices ► Multicultural Team Leadership ► Governance ► Mergers & Acquisitions ► Analytics ► Performance ImprovementManaging Partner @ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ As a member of the executive team, I provide strategic advisory services covering the entire spectrum of Information Technology, addressing any of the strategic and operational dimensions that impact performance, such as organisational design – including IT outsourcing decisions – process improvement, technology enablement, information requirements, IT costs and skills and talents. With responsibility for all IT operations in the Middle East, North Africa, and South-East Asia, I identify the needs of business groups (Commercial, Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and others), and create clear, actionable strategies and blueprints that deliver tangible results. I oversee a global team responsible for analyzing, developing, and seamlessly executing all deliverables. In addition, I control key aspects of the IT budget and manage an ever-evolving IT portfolio to prepare the company for changes in the industry, technology, and global economy. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✔ Strategized and created the IT landscape for start-up operation in Burma/Myanmar (systems, resources, policies, vendors and organization). My strategy was fully realized and resulted in an efficient, organized, and successful organization built from the ground up in six months. The new group hit first-year targets in three months, and quickly grew from zero to 1M+ customers. ✔ Planned and led (as steering committee member) multiple IT transformation projects that reengineered the IT landscape on a global scale. Examples include new billing, CRM, business intelligence, ERP, and other systems and solutions). ✔ Collaborated in producing a digital services strategy that enables significant revenue generation over 4 years with minimal IT investment. ✔ Created the IT plan to monetize consumer data to better target key customers and differentiate the customer experience. ✔ Initiated an effort to formalize and standardize processes, procedures, and best practices for the IT organization. ✔ Led and directed the Group Enterprise Architecture program based upon TOGAF, Archimate and Orbus iServer. From September 2011 to December 2014 (3 years 4 months) Chief Enterprise Architect @ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ As a senior leader, I directed systems development and optimization functions as well as architecture and applications (systems selection, blueprinting, and planning) for one of the top telecommunications companies in Belgium and Luxembourg. I pinpointed gaps and injected business capabilities into the organization through solution design and development. I created strategies and served on steering committees during the implementation phase of large-scale projects. In this IT leadership role, I skillfully managed people, budgets, and changing priorities. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✔ I led the transformation of the IT operation and guided the newly established team in creating innovative solutions using off-the-shelf systems to meet changing needs in the company and industry. ✔ I was responsible for creating IT integration plans for two mergers and acquisitions (M&As), effectively merging highly differentiated IT systems and landscapes. ✔ Delivered architecture for strategic and hands-on IT transformation projects including a complex redesign of the company's billing system to support operations in Belgium and Luxembourg and full-scale ERP renewal strategy. Analyzed and rationalized IT resources, resulting in €33M cost savings and significant reduction of IT spend. ✔ Created strategies and IT roadmaps for cloud computing, strategic and operational/real time BI, and a new Telco network/IT integration framework (for the latter project, I was invited to present information about the initiative to C-level executives and Board members in Belgium, and I served as keynote speaker at a conference in Stockholm, Sweden).
