💼 Past Experience

Since leaving his academia white-collar world, Luís Roque has expertise in deep learning and machine learning technologies. His work experience includes founding and CEO at HUUB, Inc., where he was responsible for developing and leading the company’s deep learning and machine learning strategies. Also, during the past few years, he has also held a PhD in DLP fromUni Montero in Spain. It has been his journalisticbackgroundthat has drawn him to the world of deep learning and machine learning, as it gives him an understanding of the scenarios which could lead to information technology investments becoming relevant to society and the economy. In this respect, Roque is convinced that deep learning will eventually become the key to unlocking many of theeconomic and social opportunities that have been so diligently developed over the past few decades.Roque has made a significant impact in the deep learning & machine learning communities, as he is a driving force behind the recent proliferation of open-source communities and code libraries related to these technologies, as well as his contributions to several major conferences and scientific journals. He is originally from Andalusia, in southern Spain.

Luís Roque started his education at the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where he graduated in2007. After completing his undergraduate studies, Luís Roque move on to study at ESADE Business and Law School, where he graduated with a postgraduate degree in 2010. Finally, Luís Roque completed his graduate studies at the Porto Business School, where he graduated in 2013. Luís Roque has previously worked as a Manager at a manufacturing company, as a lawyer and as a consultant. He is currently a Manager at a business consultancy. Luís Roque has also worked as a contributing writer for various Brazilian newspapers, including O Estado de S. Paulo, Juventude, and O Dia. Luís Roque has a proven track record in working with teams and is known for his strategic thinking and passion for problem-solving. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Valencia. He has been working at the company since its creation in 2016. Luís Roque has a lot of experience in the field of deep learning.
