Luke Hopping's educational background and work readiness began to develop in 2010 when he received his bachelor's degree from Vassar College. After receiving his degree, he worked as a sociology teacher for two years. In 2014, he moved to Portland, Oregon and began his professional career as a public schoolteacher. While working as a public schoolteacher, he realized that he had a great deal to learn about the K-12 education system and how to improve it. From this experience, he developed his skills and knowledge in the area of education and worked on improving the K-12 education system in Portland.While working on improving the K-12 education system in Portland, he also started to develop his own personal development program. The program is called “The hump” and it is designed to help people move from where they are at in their life to where they want to be. The program begins with a practical and contemplative Grand Challenge, and then helps people move from that to a personal action plan. The program is free and it is available to people who have a goal to achieve.While working on improving the K-12 education system in Portland, he also began to develop his own personal development program.
