Responsibilities include: - Developing the yearly marketing strategy and budgets for the above products and adjusting these throughout the year in line with changes caused by the macro and micro environments to ensure the business, sales and marketing objectives are achieved. - Managing the members of the EMEA marketing department. - Developing and executing innovative online and offline marketing campaigns and programs. - Introducing new and fresh ideas into the business which have dramatically reduced costs and increased efficiency. - Leveraging the in-house sales teams to improve business numbers through finding the right incentives and messages. - Negotiating partnerships with relevant associations in each region and working closely with these associations to ensure The Mergermarket Group achieves the greatest possible contact with their members. - Developing and executing go-to-market marketing plans for new products or newly acquired businesses. - Development of sales toolkits, ensuring account managers have the tools they need to succeed, such as: in depth competitor analysis, value propositions and probing questions to uncover new business leads, pitch and renewal tools, tailored brochures for each vertical etc. - Management of all product websites including managing the SEO strategy. From November 2011 to Present (4 years 2 months) London, United KingdomActing Global Head of Marketing @ From September 2013 to December 2013 (4 months) Senior Marketing Executive @ This role included looking after the marketing strategy for small and solo law firms in the UK as well as customer groups which had high potential but were currently underpenetrated. I also managed the B2B marketing strategy (online and offline) for 4 key practice areas: Property Law, Private Client Law, Environment Law and Family Law. Responsibilities included: -Managing two members of staff (E-Marketing Executive and Campaigns Telesales Executive). - Managing and executing highly competitive campaigns aimed at replacing the competition and targeting ‘whitespace’ customers. - Managing the go to market launch of new products into the legal B2B market. This included LexisSmart and LexisPSL. - Managing the internal communication and delivery of key marketing and product messaging to sales force of circa 70. - Creating compelling value propositions and core messaging for sales which was used as quick guides before speaking with customers, ensuring messages were consistent and products were positioned on the value that they added. This reduced the need to offer discounts and increased the knowledge and confidence of the sales force. - Managing approximately on average 20 B2B marketing campaigns each year. These included: copy and design for EM and DM mailings, coporate events and PR. - Designed and launched new customer facing websites for the full suite of legal products. This involved working running focus groups with current customers and prospects, as well as working closely with an agency to develop a CMS which was user friendly and enabled us to quickly make changes. From April 2009 to November 2011 (2 years 8 months) London, United KingdomMarketing Executive @ During this period, I was the sole Legal marketer for this area whilst the business looked to recruit for the 4 other vacancies. Despite this large workload, I managed to bring to market the launch of a full rebrand of our full legal suite as well the launch of 2 new products, LexisCheck and LexisPSL. Responsibilities included: - Managing B2B campaigns with particular focus on ‘whitespace’ in with mid-sized law firms. These included managing a telemarketing agency and successfully achieving a 149% increase in year on year targets. - Writing customer facing collateral, designing websites, and internal sales documentation as well as competitive analysis and content comparisons - Managing the key elements of the execution of product launch plans and campaign strategies new legal product roll outs. Including internal and external communications strategy, creation of key sales tools and supporting the sales training process; as well as working alongside an external agency. Key highlights included working in partnership with key customers to create a product tailored to meet the customer’s needs. - Manage activities to support the relationship with key industry bodies such as the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians From April 2007 to April 2009 (2 years 1 month) Marketing Assistant @ Responsibilities included: - Working closely with marketing executives to execute event plan and helping drive customers to visit the LexisNexis exhibition stands - Rewriting and continually updating internal sales tools this included collation of competitor activity, SWOT analysis and updating value propositions - Writing and creating advertisements for key legal products - Planning and organising customer events such as book launches and author parties. - Working closely with internal stakeholders to help with data analysis such as analysing the FTSE 100 and 250 to see opportunities for the corporate sales teams - Managing the Marcomms team budget. This included processing invoices and ensuring all suppliers were paid on time. It also meant keeping track of the monies spent and reporting to management on a quarterly basis the status of the team budget.
