A recent graduate of Seattle University with a Bachelors in Economics, I am looking to transition from studying international development to training in software development. Throughout school, I cultivated a love of learning, studying everything from Math to Philosophy to Yoruba to Economics before I finally was forced to graduate.
While at SU, I immensely enjoyed working with statistical programming languages to solve puzzling economics and logic problems in my classes. My love of exploratory learning and solving puzzles lead me to join Ada Developers Academy upon graduation in order to pursue a career where the learning would never stop. Beyond my enthusiasm for creative problem-solving and hacking, I am passionate about all things data and information. I believe that equitable access to the power of data is one integral counteraction to rising inequality.
Software Engineer in Training @ Ada Developers Academy (Ada) is an intensive training school for women looking to start a career in software engineering. Ada's unique year-long program begins with seven months of classroom instruction in cutting-edge web technologies in which students learn the most up-to-date development skills from leading regional and national experts.
After successful completion of the in-class work, students are placed in an internship with a Puget Sound tech company, where they learn what it's like to be part of a real engineering team shipping production code.
