Lindsey Coleman is currently a Typist at Student Business Services Co-Op from January 2014 to May 2014 (5 months) in Athens, Georgia. I listened to dictation from individuals in the financial field and transcribed exactly what they were speaking.I worked as a Sales Associate for a downtown Athens retail company that needed extra help during the UGA football season. I also worked the cash register, cleaned the store, and helped lock up at the end of the work day. My primary job was selling our merchandise to customers, as well as assisting customers in any way possible. I also worked the position of Production Specialist at Element Climbing which grew into a solid business that has clients all over the world. My most prominent role was producing rock climbing holds quickly and efficiently. Less frequently, I also helped ship products to customers, answered the phones, and sold different products to potential customers. I had the opportunity to work as a nanny for a family in my neighborhood. The first two summers, I took care of their two daughters who were young children. By 2013, they had added a son to their family, so I watched over all three children that summer. I cooked meals for them, drove the family van, cleaned up after the children, and we partook in many summer-related activities. It was through this experience that I saved up money to buy my first car when I turned 16, which taught me a lot about work ethic, responsibility, and determination. I shadowed Dr. Karen Wasilewski for 117 hours and Dr. Thomas Cash for 33 hours. both physicians specialize in pediatric hematology/oncology with an emphasis in solid tumors. Dr. Karen Wasilewski is the clinical director at Scottish Rite, so I learned medically-related information from her as well as how to handle oneself in a leadership position. Dr. Thomas Cash is in charge of solid tumor phase-one clinical trials, so he taught me about research in addition to medical knowledge. Through this experience, I was able to shadow other physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other professionals in many different pediatric disciplines. My primary experience working with computers was working as a data entryist for Ameritech Broadband Corporation.
