For nearly two decades, I have been responsible for the implementation and monitoring of privacy and compliance solutions in computer software. CDR (capture, store, analyze, report), CRM (customer relationships management), and salesforce (sales and marketing) are household names in the software industry. In my previous engagements, I have lacked grasp on GDPR, but PlumCloud Labs has a moonshot plan to work with the European Union in order to comply with the new GDPR laws. PlumCloud is an independent consulting and technology firm that has a business focus on GDPR compliance. PlumCloud has partnered with a number of leading GDPR firms to help them implement their solutions across their organizations.In various engagements I have had with GDPR, I have been impressed with the severity of the new law. The new GDPR criminalizes many activities that have been used in the past, such as the sale of data that has been collected about individuals without their knowledge or consent. Many of the old, older practices that have been used to collect and store data against individuals will now be illegal. myself and my team have been working on a number of solutions to help businesses comply with GDPR. Some solutions are as follows:- GDPR will require companies to get explicit consent from individuals before they can collect or store data.- GDPR will also require companies to contact individuals if they are interested in data processing, and provide them with a way to withdraw their consent at any time.- GDPR will ensure that individuals have the right to know what their data is being used for, and that their data is kept private and secure.- GDPR will also require companies to provide individuals with clear and concise information about their rights under GDPR, as well as access to their data.There are a few other key points that I wanted to note about GDPR. First and foremost, GDPR requires companies to comply with the law in a timely manner. To meet this requirement, GDPR requires companies to data launder or destroy any data that has not been used for the purposes for which it was collected. This process of data destruction is called “übertragungsfälschung,” and it is an important part of GDPR compliance. Data that has not been used in a certain way will also need to be destroyed if it is suspected that it may have been used in a wrong way.Second, GDPR will not take effect until Europe’s Union member states have ratified the law. This means that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done before GDPR can take effect.
