Founder @ At UBOT we design submersible robotic vehicles and sensors to help you explore the underwater world. From January 2015 to Present (1 year) Founder and Member Board of Directors @ I introduced the idea to eleza.org at the World Technology Network Summit in New York in 2014. Eleza.org is a platform to share best practices and solutions to global issues. In late 2015, the first beta version of eleza.org was introduced and eleza e.V. was founded as a registered non-profit organization in Munich. From November 2014 to Present (1 year 2 months) CEO @ COGLOBO provides seed and early stage investment in technologies with long-term potential. From September 2011 to Present (4 years 4 months) Munich Area, GermanyCEO @ Promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. From December 2011 to Present (4 years 1 month) Munich Area, GermanyCEO @ From June 2013 to Present (2 years 7 months) Member Board of Advisors @ From June 2014 to Present (1 year 7 months) Potsdam Area, GermanyEngineering Director Digital Video Group @ After the acquisition of my company, IRIDAS, in September 2011, I joined Adobe as Director of Engineering, where I helped integrate the first Adobe version of SpeedGrade into the Creative Suite. I then got responsibility for the leadership of all of Adobe's Professional Video Engineering organization and directed the global engineering teams in Seattle, San Jose, Minnesota, Hamburg, Munich and Beijing that build Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Prelude, Audition, SpeedGrade and Adobe Media Encoder. I drove a push for integration and close cooperation between the traditionally vertical product teams. I also helped drive an initiative that resulted in a significant overhaul of the user experience for all Adobe Video products with a focus on simplicity and reducing the initial barriers to the use of these complex products.
Early in 2013 I started building up a new group inside the Adobe video group to help significantly expand the market for Adobe's video technology. This group focused on web technologies, services and mobile applications with work split between Adobe's San Jose, Seattle and New Delhi offices.
In my tenure at Adobe I focused on building a global team out of the roughly 90 people reporting to me, creating synergies between groups that had not traditionally worked together and fostering a culture of innovation to make the Digital Video group ready for new markets. From September 2011 to December 2014 (3 years 4 months) CEO @ I founded IRIDAS at the beginning of the digital revolution in the professional film industry, creating FrameCycler the first product specifically targeted for high fidelity digital film playback. This product quickly became the industry standard for review and digital dailies. Together with ESC entertainment, we powered the first digital review theater in a postproduction house for the creation of The Matrix sequels. With SpeedGrade our second product we pioneered the use of GPU-accelerated technology for high performance image processing, creating the first tool for real time color correction of film resolution video. IRIDAS broke new ground when we introduced the first real time RAW pipeline for the movie industry, enabling high fidelity playback and manipulation of unprocessed RAW video. For our innovations in the area of Stereo 3D we were honored in the inaugural technology awards of the International 3D Society. After more than a decade of success Adobe acquired our core technologies in September 2011. From April 2000 to September 2011 (11 years 6 months) Head of Software Development @ I joined ARADEX, a high tech startup, in 1994, to help disrupt the traditional market for control systems for industrial machines. At that time, CNC mills, printing machines, presses etc. were all controlled by proprietary purpose-built hardware. The founding team of ARADEX started on the premise that all of this could be done using PC technology. I joined as a software developer with a focus on visualization and optimization of 5-axes CNC milling systems. I later became responsible for all of ARADEX' platform development and directed the team that implemented a real time layer on Windows NT and built a software framework that was used by application engineers to tailor the system to the many diverse applications in areas like the printing presses that printed holograms on the EUR banknotes, 5 axis CNC mills, waterjet cutting machines, plasma cutting machines for shipbuilding and various machines in the automotive sector. I also oversaw the development of a sophisticated user interface and process visualization framework that used touch, 3D, multimedia and sound to go beyond the traditionally very limited experience design of these systems. From January 1994 to March 2001 (7 years 3 months)
