I have been part of the Amlin Europe (AE) Platform Replacement Programme which involves the migration of the business operation of Amlin’s newly acquired commercial lines insurers (ACI) in Belgium, The Netherlands and France. This is one of the biggest IT projects undergone in the city by the largest listed Lloyds of London Insurer. My role is based in London but often requires travel to AE's European offices. I have been involved in virtually all aspects of the requirements gathering and test process in a fast paced, financial and mission critical environment. • Analysis of business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and work flow analysis. • Work with business owners, project and technical teams to identify and meet objectives • Develop strategic or tactical solutions to meet agreed business requirements and produce documentation (eg Functional and Business Requirements, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and interface designs) to obtain stakeholder sign-off and to communicate the solution to the wider Operations and Technology teams. • Work with business owners to coordinate systems testing, user acceptance testing including sign-off, installation, training and support. From April 2011 to September 2014 (3 years 6 months) Business Analyst & Test Lead @ ACI Product Replacement Programme, based in London as well as Amstelveen & Brussels Responsibilities Include: • Requirements gathering with Business leads • Delivery of test conditions, scripts, data supporting test phases including F2B Integration Testing, Functional Acceptance Test, User Acceptance Test. • Leading a team of 5-7 testers during functional integration • Improving test functions and processes throughout the project to increase efficiency and quality • Incident Management tasks such as raising issues, defects, and change requests, and tracking progress through development • Meeting with stakeholders and key business leads to discuss test approach • Provide estimates for test planning and execution • Liaise with third party developers to ensure problems found are resolved quickly • UAT support for overseas testers as well as mentoring more junior testers • Report to stakeholders on progress of requirements gathering, test phases and areas of significant risk for the project. • Script and execute integration testing across the suite of front, middle, and back office systems From July 2010 to May 2011 (11 months) Business Analyst / Senior Test Analyst @ I was a member of the MSIP (Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Product) Project which is an in house Insurance underwriting administration system that was first developed and implemented in 2001. As part of the team responsible for MSIP I have gained further exposure to Lloyds Market systems. At Mitsui I provided start to finish test tasks, from creating tests from specifications to providing execution metrics and summaries for management. I later moved onto a role focussing on requirements gathering as a Business Analyst. From January 2008 to August 2010 (2 years 8 months) London, United KingdomTest Analyst / Test Coordinator @ I was part of a team responsible for the implementation of the financial software product Subscribe for various multinational companies in the Lloyds Insurance Market. I was involved in multiple stages of the implementation, which included the configuration of the system software, construction, and testing. Throughout the Implementation various forms of testing were carried out such as functional testing regression testing, UAT and other acceptance testing. The position included raising, tracking and retesting defects working alongside development & UAT teams in a range of different environments and projects. Other duties include producing test strategies, developing test cases and test scripts, creating and managing test data, reviewing test results and managing defects. Experience gained creating manual test plans as well as using automated test tools and the use of various software project life cycle methodologies. This role also encompassed liaising with clients to ensure the successful implementation of the application which often involved working at pace to deliver to demanding timescales. I have assisted and worked with various London Market companies during their UAT phases such as ACE, Canopiuos & Amlin to name a few.
