- Daily communication with over 20 YKK affiliate factories throughout Asia, South America and Europe
- Manage a portfolio of 40 global brands with $36 million, 140 million pieces, in sales annually
- Implementation of supply chain management strategy to maintain delivery through obtaining forecasts, production calendars and logistical coordination with YKK affiliates and the brand’s overseas vendors
- Acquire and maintain detailed supply chain information and vendor lists for each brand
- Monitor the production status and track shipments from YKK factories to the vendor to ensure delivery deadlines are met
- Execute seasonal and program based price negotiations between the brand and YKK affiliates
- Advise the brand’s design teams on appropriate trims based on the fabric, garment application and dye process
- Arrange material preparation for SMS and bulk orders based on projections
- Lead the supplier side of zipper developments including DTMs, specialty items and logo pulls by working cross-functionally with R&D, design and production from handoff through revision and approval stages
- Manage development progress to insure that new trims will meet required production calendar time lines
- Prepare monthly reports and tracking charts to analyze orders received, sourcing shifts and changes in production calendars
- Stay current on governmental product safety and social compliance regulations from CPSC, CPSIA , Oeko-Tex and Conflict Minerals while advising the brands on how our products meet the testing requirements
- Analyze QA test reports, work with YKK affiliates to determine the cause and solution in the event of a failure and arrange re-testing when needed From June 2010 to Present (5 years 7 months) Greater New York City AreaJunior Account Executive @ - Prepare open order reports, style analysis, top specialty store and inactive store reports
