I like to consider myself a meticulous, enthusiastic and devoted person who has an eagerness to learn and the drive to succeed. I feel that throughout a person's life it is necessary to keep expanding your knowledge. That is why, after working for 2 years as a Paid Media Analyst at a company in Cape Town, South Africa, I moved to the UK and obtained a Masters Degree in International Business Management, specialising in Marketing.
I now currently work at Analytics SEO as the Campaign & Outreach Manager.
Campaign & Outreach Manager @ My primary role at Analytics SEO involves driving quality sales leads and conversions through planning, setting up and managing both the PPC and SEO strategies for the company's accounts. This also includes planning and executing the Direct Sales and Content Marketing campaigns.
The Direct Sales campaign management includes producing a 12 week rolling schedule of sales campaigns, working closely with the company's Head of Growth. It also involves cleaning and enhancing prospect data that is then transferred to the sales team.
The SEO campaign management includes the use of the company's own platform to plan, manage, execute and report on the company's SEO and content marketing strategies. I also lead a project team of graduates within the company to better educate them about the SEO industry and the company's own SEO platform.
I work in conjunction with the Head of Growth to identify key influencers and conduct PR campaigns aimed at building relationships via TWIO or directly via social media. In addition to a rolling 12 week content marketing schedule which ties into the Direct Sales Campaigns.
Lastly, I plan and manager the company's Pay-Per-Click campaigns and provide monthly as well as weekly ad hoc reporting. This also includes producing landing pages with relevant content. From August 2014 to May 2015 (10 months) London, United KingdomPPC Campaign Manager @ My duties included setting up PPC campaigns across all PPC platforms and analysing, monitoring and optimizing client accounts while recommending and managing campaign budgets. I was also responsible for researching and implementing effective PPC strategies as well as setting, measuring and achieving customer relevant KPIs.
I was responsible for compiling account performance and management reports both weekly and monthly and I developed and implemented strategies for PPC campaigns. I had to keep abreast of the latest technological advancements and trends in Paid Search. I regularly liaise with clients and provide ongoing feedback on account performance and also complete ad hoc tasks as and when required.
ROI Digital provided training sessions hosted by experts from the different divisions within the company. This is where I became increasingly interested in SEO and content marketing. I keep abreast of the various Google algorithm updates and what impact they have on SEO. I have also conducted independent study in SEO and content marketing. From August 2013 to August 2014 (1 year 1 month) gardens, cape townContact Center Agent @ My duties included but where not limited to providing professional customer service by means of online messaging, phone calls and e-mails. I was an inbound contact center agent that dealt with online gaming in the form of casinos. I provided clients with professional advise with regards to all of their needs in terms of the casino, some of which included login queries, to withdrawals / depositing and the terms and conditions of the casino. From March 2013 to July 2013 (5 months) Century City, Cape TownIntern @ I interned directly to Wayne Bebb (CEO) and my responsibilities included project managing a brand manual for the 466/64 fashion line. I also helped wherever possible to Julie Brunt (Marketing Co-ordinator) and Chris Vogelpoel and Barbara Tosalli (both product developers). I also solely worked on two business plans for brands that the company was looking to bring to South Africa. From July 2012 to September 2012 (3 months) Cape Town Area, South AfricaGap Student @ I lived and worked in England for the year of 2008. My responsibilities as a Gap Student were assisting the Mathematics and English teachers with the Year 3 students. I also taught extra Mathematics to the High School students and substituted for any teachers, if needed. My other responsibilities included coaching various sports and supervising and mentoring the year 8 and 9 students. From January 2008 to December 2008 (1 year) Secretary @ I managed a small office in Centurion, Pretoria. My responsibilities included answering the telephone and general administration work i.e. filing and providing clients with relevant information and agent details.
